The founders of OpenSourceMT, as described below, are active participants in Montana’s technology industry. We believe in limited government involvement in business; however, we recognize that government policies have significant bearing on the future of our businesses and our quality of life.
Specifically, we believe that government actions and policies are key to creating a positive environment for Montana businesses. Scott Rosenzweig – Technology executive, advisor, and investor in wireless products and services (satellite, cellular, GPS, Internet of Things). Founder/Exec of GPS tracking product manufacturers Orbit One Communications (acquired) and Sypes Canyon Communications (acquired), and investment groups Real Angels and Better Angels, all based in Bozeman. Former EVP/BizDev AssetLink Global, ORBCOMM, and others. Resident of Bozeman.
Kim Scurry – Senior Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at Oracle and former VP of Operations at RightNow Technologies. She has also been a small business owner and advisor to local businesses. Resident of Bozeman.
Jeff Batton – Serial entrepreneur and early-stage exec. Leadership team at PrintingForLess, Wisetail, Natural Baby Company, GeneSearch, Schedulicity, and Alaska Growth Capital. Founder of HomeStake Strategic Finance, business accelerator teaching financial management/strategy. Principal in Greenstone Growth Partners, provider of part-time executive services. Resident of Bozeman.
Michael FitzGerald – Co-founder and CEO of Submittable in Missoula. He’s also the author of the novel, Radiant Days, and a forthcoming memoir called Startdown. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from University of Montana. Previously he worked for IDG, Healthwise, and Proclarity (acquired by Microsoft). Resident of Missoula.
Bill Stoddart – President and Founder of NorthFork Financial, a fiduciary planning and advisory firm that integrates wealth and purpose. He is co-founder of HomeStake Partners and co-founder of GreenDrinks Bozeman and serves on a number of volunteer boards throughout the community. Resident of Bozeman.
Stephen Durbin – Consultant in data analysis and visualization, machine learning, and web technologies, previously with RightNow Technologies and Oracle. Former professor at Carleton College, Minnesota and Tohoku University, Japan. Board member at The Refugee Center, Gallatin Valley Community Radio, and Bozeman PechaKucha. Resident of Bozeman.
Swep Davis – Conservationist and retired rancher and businessman. Career in environmental regulation, business start-ups and investment banking. Active in the conservation community locally and at the national level. Resident of Bozeman.
